RE: Trauma Transport Protocol Update

In an effort to better address traumatic injuries involving patients involved in e-bike, motorcycle, and other unenclosed vehicle crashes, a recent protocol update has been made to Trauma Transport Parameter 1.09.

The Office of the Medical Director has added the terminology "unenclosed vehicular accident" to the protocol to better identify these types of incidents. This adjustment is intended to address the recent increase in e-bike and other unenclosed vehicle accidents, as well as the increased severity of traumatic injuries associated with these incidents. This update is intended to provide clearer guidance for the assessment and management of patients involved in these types of crashes.
