====Nitroglycerin Drip (NITROL, TRIDIL, NITROSTAT) / Antianginal====&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;DESCRIPTION&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&lt;br /&gt;
* Reduces cardiac oxygen demand by decreasing preload and afterload. Also increases blood flow through the collateral coronary vessels.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;INDICATIONS&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&lt;br /&gt;
* [[Chest Pain Acute Coronary Syndrome|Chest pain associated with Angina Pectoris and Myocardial Infarction]], CHF, HTN,&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;CONTRAINDICATIONS&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&lt;br /&gt;
* Increased intracranial hemorrhage. Hypersensitivity to the medication. Systolic BP &amp;lt; 90 mm Hg.&lt;br /&gt;
**&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Administer with caution and only use a nitro drip in patients who present with potential Right Ventricular Infarction as identified by a 12 Lead EKG.&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;PRECAUTIONS&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&lt;br /&gt;
* It may induce headache that is sometimes severe. Patients may develop tolerance.  Watch for hypotension. MUST BE ON AN INFUSION REGULATOR.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;DOSAGE&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&lt;br /&gt;
* Initial infusion rate is 5-15 mcg / minute. Titrate to effect.&lt;br /&gt;
