===STEMI Transport Destinations===
July 28, 2008

Destination decisions on STEMI patients are based on the time savings created when the hospital notifies the Cath team based upon our recognition of a STEMI from the field.
*Effective immediately, we will no longer transport STEMI patients to Florida Hospital East because they will not notify their transportation team or their Cath lab based on a field call.
*Using the same criteria, we are pleased to announce, effective immediately, we will resume destination transports for STEMI patients to South Seminole Hospital.
*ORH/ORMC now has a 24/7 Cath team available and will initiate the process based on a field call.

To summarize, destination hospitals for STEMI patients: Central Florida Hospital, Florida Hospital Altamonte, Florida Hospital Orlando, South Seminole Hospital and Orlando Regional Medical Center.
