* Inhibits the release of histamine, thereby reducing brocho-constriction and vasodilatation.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;INDICATIONS&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&lt;br /&gt;

* Anaphylactic Shock&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;PRECAUTIONS&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&lt;br /&gt;
* May induce hypotension, headache, Tachycardia, sedation, drowsiness, and /or disturbed coordination.&lt;br /&gt;
* Use with caution in patients with asthma and other lower respiratory diseases due to the potential for dyspnea.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;DOSAGE&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&lt;br /&gt;
* Adult: 1 mg/ kg up to 50 mg IVP AND refer to the appropriate PRACTICE PARAMETER for specific dosages.&lt;br /&gt;
**For PO administration:&lt;br /&gt;
***1 mg/kg. Currently supplied in 12.5mg/5ml.&lt;br /&gt;
*Pediatrics: Refer to Handtevy System for specific dosages&lt;br /&gt;
**1 mg/kg up to 50 mg IVP&lt;br /&gt;
** 1mg/kg for PO (12.5mg/5mL)&lt;br /&gt;
